Bagpipes, violin and accordions, combined with funky rhythms and passionate songs, accompanied by a promising voice of the main singer, Alec  Dalglish, make up the main ingredients of Skerryvore´s proposal. The Scottish band will make their debut in Ortigueira, the only greatest European Festivals they have not performed at yet, with their outstanding live performance and their rewarded fusion of “Folk n’ Roll” for the 21st century.

The sextet, one of the most popular among festival goers, formed in 2004, on the Tiree Island, on the Scottish Hebrides, have gained a style of their own, marked by the combination of traditional music, urban rock sounds and not few pop references.

In their first concert in Galicia, Skerryvore will display all their energy and work on the stage to make the public cheer with the songs of their homonym album, the third of their brilliant career, after “On the road” and “West coast life”. A safe bet to start the 2011 edition in a big way.
