Sondeseu

SonDeSeu was born 20 years ago at the Conservatorio de Música Tradicional da Universidade Popular de Vigo, nowadays ETRAD (Escola Municipal de Música Folk e Tradicional).

Considered as the first Folk orchestra in Galicia, it unites traditional, contemporary and classical music. Besides this, they investigate Galician folk music through their homonymous foundation. During their career they released 5 albums: Mar de Vigo (2003), Trastempo (2007), Barolovento (2010), Danzas brancas (2013) and Beiralúa (2018).

In 2006 they publish the Libro branco da Educación en Música tradicional, where they review how the musical tradition was transmitted at that time and how important it is to have an official educative program that collects this knowledge in order to end with the current volunteering and intrusiveness situations, as well as to put folk in value.
