ANXO LORENZO

With more than 20 years of experience, Anxo Lorenzo is one of the most prolific bagpipers on the Galician music scene. He has released three studio albums—Tirán (2009), Confuxon (2014), and Vortex (2018)—and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Kathryn Tickell, Carlos Núñez, Lúnasa, The Chieftains, Fred Morrison, Michael McGoldrick, Alisdair Fraser, and Celtas Cortos. This year, he will present his new album AVANTE at the Festival internacional do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira.

Through his recordings and collaborations with international artists, Anxo Lorenzo blends traditional Galician music with electronic and contemporary urban rhythms, expanding the reach of the bagpipe to new audiences. His current project combines Galician melodic richness with new technologies, creating an innovative audiovisual performance with international projection.
