Formed in 2002 by five musicians from A Coruña with roots in traditional Galician music, Tiruleque is a group that blends traditional repertoire with original compositions influenced by a wide range of styles. Over time, their sound has evolved and grown richer with the addition of new instruments, shaping a distinctive and creative sonic identity. Known for their energetic and diverse live performances, they combine tambourine, double bass, muiñeira, cumbia, and saxophone in a festive fusion. Their goal is clear: to spread enthusiasm and a joyful spirit.
With over 20 years on both Galician and national stages, they’ve performed at festivals such as the Festival do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira, Pardiñas, and the Festival Intercéltico do Morrazo. Internationally, they represented Galicia at the 41st and 49th editions of the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. They have shared the stage with artists such as Milladoiro, Xosé Manuel Budiño, Susana Seivane, Uxía, Tanxugueiras, Treixadura, and Caamaño & Ameixeiras.
