He started playing bagpipes “by chance”, after trying other instruments such as the piano or activities such as sailing. Since then, David has been linked to this instrument, becoming a Professional in Galician bagpipes and obtaining the Superior Degree in Instruments of Traditional and Popular Galician Music with Honors.
In his show De Gaitas Posíbeis along with Iván Abal on hurdy-gurdy and Ramón Dopico on percussion, he summarizes his work of transmitting this music like if he was going for a walk from the bagpipes of the XI century to vangardist and experimental music.
Nowadays, David is dedicated to teaching in several conservatories of the country (currently in the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Viveiro), and also on the internet, where he teaches bagpipe lessons and plays historical and modern songs along with their music sheets, as well as teaching other courses, seminars and lectures.
