FELPEYU

Felpeyu was born in 1991 by Asturian and Galician university students to encourage the evolution of Asturian traditional music in line with European folk trends. They consider themselves as another part of the process in the recovery and dignification of Asturian culture.

For this purpose they compile musical sheets, choral music, songbooks or sound archives of ethnographic groups some members are part, and create with them their own adapted compositions.

Felpeyu performs all over the world, even making an appearance at the Fête de la Musique in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2005, after having been invited by the Spanish Embassy to do so.
