Kevrenn Brest Sant Mark was founded in 1947 in the aftermath of the Ocean Liberty ship explosion in the Brest estuary. Created by Yann Camus and Pierre Jestin, the group began by organizing benefit concerts for the victims, marking the birth of the ensemble. Since then, it has grown into one of the most innovative and renowned bands in the world of bagadoù (Breton pipe bands), winning the national championship eleven times. Today, it is a dynamic music school and a key cultural reference in Brittany, having recently reached the top category of the national bagadoù championship.
In 2025, Kevrenn Brest Sant Mark joined forces with the Groove Boys to present a unique show that blends the power of a traditional bagad, the warmth of brass instruments, and the festive energy of a DJ. This musical fusion combines traditional Breton music with popular French and international songs—designed to get audiences dancing and turn any festival into a true celebration.
