Le Vend du Nord is a French-speaking progressive folk project created by five friends in 2002 in Quebec.
In their repertoire, full of songs of great rhythm and musicality, they include pieces from traditional sources as well as their own compositions. Their great versatility allows them to collaborate with renowned artists such as Julie Fowlis, Harry Manx, or The Chieftains, among others, with which they create a variety of sounds that enrich their repertoire.
Their joyful and intense concerts, according to Voir Montreal, “put all traditional folk detractors to shame”, and their music style helped them win the Felix Award for Traditional Album of the Year from ADISQ in 2022.
