Milladoiro is undoubtedly one of the oldest Celtic folk groups in our country. With 45 years of history and a long track record of promoting and preserving traditional Galician music, they have earned recognition by taking our most traditional music beyond our borders.
Throughout these years, Milladoiro has demonstrated great versatility—not only by collaborating with other groups and projects, but also by composing film scores, such as the soundtrack for Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón’s film La mitad del cielo (Half of Heaven), for which they won the Goya Award for Best Original Score in 1986.
Their latest album, Cantigas de amigos, released in 2022, brings together some of their most notable collaborations over the course of their career. It celebrates more than four decades on stage, featuring collaborations with artists such as Ana Belén, Leilía, Faustino Santalices, and Kathy Mattea.
