Formed by six members, Bárbara González-Quevedo Pedrayes (violin and vocals), Francisco Rodríguez Buznego (bouzouki), Illán Escalada Martínez (bagpipes and vocals), Carlos Castro Vázquez (bass), Edu Llosa García (drums and percussion) and Emilio Amboage Rodríguez (guitar).
Their style is defined as power folk, mixing traditional Asturian music and instruments with other styles.
In 2014 they released Alendando, a short album with four songs that are representative of Alienda. In 2015 they win the AMAS award to the Best folk song with their song Rucaúres. In 2023 they released their full-length album Alienda, with instrumental and vocal songs, both their own and traditional.
