The Donaire Cultural Association was founded in A Coruña in the year 2000 with the purpose of recovering, promoting and disseminating Galician folklore. They have a school where they give lessons in singing, dancing and traditional instruments such as the bagpipe, tambourine, tambourine, bass drum and “pandeiras”, as well as other minor percussion instruments.
The group is made up of young people who, after years at school, show in their performances the beauty, richness and variety of Galician popular music and dance, preserving and spreading the cultural legacy of their elders.
