RURA

ESCOCIA

Rura was born in summer 2010 in Scotland, combining bagpipes, voice, whistle, fiddle, flute, bodhran and guitar. Recently Adam Holmes joined them as singer and composer, a change that pleased their fans and added more power to the band.

They have three albums: In Praise Of Home (2018), Live at the Old Fruitmarket, a celebration of their 10-year career including friends, collaborators and producers, and Dusk Moon in March of this year.

They were finalists in three categories of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year and winners of the Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections in 2011.
